Levy grew up in a military family and spent much of her childhood buried in a book, dreaming of far-off lands (whilst actively living in them). It was only a matter of time before she started writing books about far-off lands, too.When not reading or writing, Levy enjoys a wide variety of hobbies, including book binding, martial arts, and gaming of both the electronic and tabletop persuasion. She promises the animals in her books will never die.
